Throughout Scripture, we see God working in extraordinary ways.
From the healing of the blind to the raising of Lazarus, miracles served as reminders that nothing is impossible for God.
While miracles in the modern world are often met with skepticism, stories continue to emerge from around the globe that leave many asking a simple question:
Could this be the hand of God?
In January 2026, two remarkable healings were officially reported at the Monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya, Lebanon, through the intercession of Saint Charbel Makhlouf, a Lebanese monk and priest who has become known worldwide for stories of healing and answered prayer.
A Healing in the United States
One of the reported healings involved Georgianne Walker, an attorney from Indiana.
Following abdominal surgery in December 2024, Walker developed a serious infection that caused significant pain and left her surgical wound unable to heal. Despite months of medical treatment, antibiotics, and close monitoring by doctors, the wound remained open and inflamed.
For nearly ten months, she continued to struggle with the condition. Eventually, doctors concluded that another surgery would be necessary to remove the damaged tissue.
According to reports, a friend who had previously experienced his own healing through prayer encouraged Walker to pray and seek God's help. He also provided her with blessed oil associated with Saint Charbel.
Walker stated that after praying and applying the oil, the wound healed completely. The surgery that had been scheduled was no longer necessary, and she reported a full recovery.
A Tumor That Disappeared
The second reported healing took place in Lebanon.
Racha Charbel was diagnosed with a spinal tumor after experiencing severe back pain. Medical scans confirmed the presence of the growth, and doctors informed her that surgery would likely be required.
The evening before a scheduled follow-up MRI, she prayed for healing.
The next day, doctors performed another scan.
According to the report, the tumor was gone.
Medical professionals reportedly could not provide an explanation for the disappearance, and surgery was no longer needed.
The healing was later officially registered with the monastery along with supporting medical documentation.
What Should Christians Do With Stories Like These?
As believers, we should always exercise wisdom and discernment.
Not every claim of a miracle can be verified, and our faith is never meant to rest solely on signs and wonders.
At the same time, Scripture reminds us that God still works today.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Whether God chooses to heal instantly, through medicine, through the prayers of others, or through a process we do not fully understand, every good gift comes from Him.
Stories like these serve as reminders that prayer still matters, hope is never wasted, and God is still able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.
A Reminder for Us All
Maybe you are praying for healing.
Maybe you are waiting for an answer.
Maybe you are facing a situation that seems impossible.
Don't give up.
The same God who opened the Red Sea, healed the sick, and raised the dead is still on His throne today.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Keep believing.
"For with God nothing shall be impossible." — Luke 1:37
